A great Legend came to Milan to honor the new MP4-12C: the glorious McLaren MP4/5. The MP4/5 was loosely based on its predecessor, the all conquering McLaren MP4/4. McLaren raced it in 1989 season and it was so quick that its successor, the MP4/5B, used in 1990, was practically the same car with some modification to engine and bodywork. Thanks to its speed and legend drivers, the MP4/5 won back to back drivers’ and constructors’ world titles in 1989 and 1990. Furthermore, the MP4-5 became famous thanks to the collision between Senna and Prost at Suzuka. I felt really lucky to look, feel and film such a legendary race car!
